Lesson of the day

Lately, I haven't been that great of a friend. I have been mean, ignorant, and uncaring. It really hit me hard today when I almost lost a good friend. I was talking to my mom about it when I realized that I take people for granted all too often. What would happen if I lost my friends for good? What if they were gone altogether, as in, what if they died? I need to treat the people around me as if they were dying. What do we say to people who are dying? I am not exactly sure, but I know that we don't walk up to their deathbed and say, "Hey, I think I am better than you and you mean nothing to me. Have fun." But that is exactly what I have been saying to my friends through my actions. Lesson of the day:  Don't take the friends God has given you for granted.

Just a thought~Shelby

P.S.  If you are one of those people that I have treated wrongly, I am sorry, and I understand that you don't have to stay my friend...although I would appreciate if you did stay my friend. Or if you are someone who needs somebody to talk to..about anything, I will be here, feel free to talk.
